Privacy Policy
Clear, simple information on what data EasyRoadmap collects and why.
Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 21, 2026
Our Commitment to Your Privacy
EasyRoadmap is designed to be local-first. This means you can create, edit, and manage roadmaps entirely within your browser without creating an account or sending any data to our servers. Your privacy is not an afterthought; it's built into the core of our product.
What We Collect & Why
We only collect data when it's necessary to provide a specific feature you choose to use.
- Local Browser Storage: When you create a roadmap, its content and your UI preferences are stored in your browser's local storage. This allows your workspace to persist between visits without needing a server. This data never leaves your computer unless you choose to share it.
- Cloud Workspaces (Optional): If you choose to save a workspace to the cloud to get a shareable link, we store your workspace content on our servers. This content is encrypted at rest in our database. We do this only so the link can be opened on other devices.
- Password Protection (Optional): If you set a password for a shared workspace, we store a salted password hash (not the plaintext password) to verify access.
Cookies & Service Providers
EasyRoadmap does not use cookies for tracking. The app uses browser storage (like localStorage) to function. We host our service on Cloudflare, which may process network-level data (like IP addresses) as part of its standard operations to deliver and secure the service.
Data Retention & Deletion
You have full control over your data.
- Local Data: Data stored in your browser stays there until you clear your browser's site data.
- Cloud Data: Shared workspaces are retained to keep their links active. If you want a shared workspace deleted, please email us with the workspace ID.
- Export: You can export any workspace as a
.wspcfile at any time.
